| For the PROBATIONARY ENGINEER position, candidates from UR/OBC (NCL)/EWS categories must have a First Class degree in B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering from AICTE-approved institutions, in the following disciplines: Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Communication, Telecommunication, or Mechanical. | |

BEL Probationary Engineer Recruitment Process 2025 |
| Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and have successfully submitted their online applications will be provisionally shortlisted for the Computer-Based Test (CBT).
The minimum qualifying marks for the CBT and interview are:
Based on CBT performance, candidates will be provisionally shortlisted for the interview in a 1:5 ratio. Final selection will be based on the combined performance in both the CBT and the interview. The CBT will carry a weightage of 85 marks, and the interview will carry 15 marks. Candidates whose applications are accepted will need to visit the BEL website to download their CBT call letter by entering their credentials. They must print the call letter and follow the instructions provided. Please note that call letters will not be sent by email or postal mail. The CBT is tentatively scheduled for March 2025. |
Computer-Based Test Details:

| Syllabus: The CBT will primarily cover objective-type questions from the core engineering subjects related to the candidate’s engineering discipline or specialization. It will also include a section on General Aptitude to evaluate analytical and reasoning skills. Candidates are advised to prepare thoroughly based on their engineering curriculum.
A list of candidates shortlisted for the interview will be published on the BEL website through query mode. Shortlisted candidates will need to attend the interview for final selection. The results of the selected candidates will also be published on the BEL website. |
